Assignment: design a cosmetic clinic for a certain target group. Cosmetic disciplin of choice. Plans of building were given.
I designed a dermotology clinic for teenagers. Acne is often a subject of insecurity for this target group, so I found it suiting to dedicate the clinic to this certain disease.
LEFT The assignment also required me to make a persona. This is a collage in which you try to capture the identity of the target group. I am often intrigued by the paradox that comes with teenagers. The insecurity and the searching for an identity versus the stubbornness and recklessness.
RIGHT The name of the concept is INSOUCIANT. This means 'free from concern, worry or anxiety'. It fitted the target group perfectly. In the moodboard you can see easyness and the peace, but also not having grip on life. All of this topped off with a wink, ofcourse, to fit the target group.

LEFT On the groundfloor you see the entrance with the reception and waiting area (bottom right) and the staff room (bottom left). Also located on this floor, is the treatment room for the disabled, the sanitary rooms and a medical tanning bed for solar therapy.
RIGHT Most of the treatment rooms are found on the floor level. I put in -what I call- 'the tree house'. It is a abstract trabslation to this schildhood hut. It is a symbol for the youthness and playfullnes of the target group. This is the directors office: a quiete place, surrounded by milk glass, to have private conversations or to work in peace.
Clients had to feel extremely relaxed and stressless. I came up with the coloured directioning system. When entering the building, clients dont have to think anymore. The receptionist will tell them which color to folow, so they will -for exemple- be told to go to green room, by following the green line.
